How was the shoot?
It was so much fun. We only had two and a half hours to shoot before my next client, so as soon as my camera operator and my co-star Ivy got there we hustled to get my shot list completed.
I tie people up, tease and please them. Some of my clients hire me to assist them in having an orgasm. Others just love the rope and the feeling of being overcome in a hot scene.
This is the first time we’ve had a model photographing himself in Filament. Any hints for self-photography?
I was spoiled because my assistant Sarah Nicole Phillips is an accomplished artist in her own right – her compositions are naturally good even without direction. Having her involved made it easy for me to be in my own photos.
You have a mighty interesting job. What exactly do you do?
I tie people up, tease and please them. Some of my clients hire me to assist them in having an orgasm. Others just love the rope and the feeling of being overcome in a hot scene. Many are married or otherwise attached to someone who doesn’t understand their darker desires. The one thing they all have in common is their need to play safely and sanely. It’s tender and firm, naughty and nice. The scene I create depends on the unique desires of my subject.
What’s the definition of romance?
Romance is the creation of the sensations of love. I live for it.
Tell us about an artist you admire
Diane Arbus connected sex with intimacy for me for the first time. She once wrote, and I paraphrase, that her biggest motivation for sex was the ‘feeling right’ afterwards when all desires are satisfied and people can finally let their guard down.
That’s a lot of toys you have there. Which is your favourite?
My mind – the crucial ingredient for a mind-blowing scene.
